August 19, 2013

The One Stop Shop for Minnesota Seniors booth will promote both the Start! Minnesota and Share! Minnesota campaigns; phases 2 and 3 of the Lt. Governor’s vision for the One Stop Shop. These campaigns encourage older adults to become active in their communities through volunteering or work as an older adult.

In addition, Own Your Future, encouraging individuals over the age of 40 to begin planning for their retirement and care as they age will be promoted. The booth provides an unprecedented opportunity to connect with older adults, caregivers, and people planning for their future as an older adult.

Stop by the booth to meet the partners who will be staffing the booth - Minnesota Board on Aging board members, Area Agencies on Aging, Own Your Future Advisory Panel Members, and staff from volunteer networks, MN Department of Human Services and MN Board on Aging.

The booth is located in the southeast corner of the Education Building. See map of the fairgrounds with the Education building noted at Cosgrove Street just north of the State Fair entrance at Dan Patch and Snelling Avenues.

The Education Building is open from 9:00am-9:00pm.
